Note that this mod is intended as a LIBRARY mod and will do nothing on its own; its sole function will be serving as an intermediate between other mods using its features, and other libraries/mods which make use of them.

Melody is an OpenAL client-side library mod for playing background music.

OpenAL allows for independent use in Minecraft without interfering with its sound engine and manager.

Melody allows you to asynchronously import audio files from various sources - even web sources!

OGG and WAV audio files are currently supported, though you could easily add support for additional file types if desired! This application comes standard with OGG/WAV support - however extending its reach would only increase productivity!

Melody's SimpleAudioFactory class can provide an insight into creating audio sources ready-for-playback! Take a look!
