EK XFaction

XFaction is a World of Warcraft add-on that allows confederated guilds to share one single guild chat, across faction lines. Blizzard enabled cross-faction raiding and instance runs in patch 9.2.5; many Eternal Kingdom (EK) guild members switched from Alliance to Horde but without GreenWall communication broke down and community broke apart - such as seeing when guild mates logged in/out or received achievements, who was currently online etc.

XFaction uses various communication channels and chat channels to share player data, as well as chat communication to allow members of our confederate to feel they belong together, creating the illusion that we all belong in one big guild (I 3 Nightborne!). Our goal is to replicate as much Blizzard guild functionality across our confederate so members no longer perceive they're part of separate guilds but instead think we all belong under one big one (essentially creating an illusion (I love Nightborne!).
