Description

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Blizzard changed how honor was converted into rank advancement in the Classic Era Patch 1.14.4.

Ranker's predictions of rank progression are accurate, as Ranker utilizes the same Blizzard mathematical formulas (introduced in the 1.14.4 Classic Era Patch). This has been documented extensively on our Discord (https://discord.gg/C529tSDf68).

Blizzard has a bug that can cause predictions to sometimes be less than 1 percent off.

Tell your friends about Ranker and download it! The program works with Classic Era realms, Seasonal realms, and Hardcore worlds.

Calculations

A player's rank is accompanied by a percentage that describes their progress to the next level. As an example, "Rank 4 with 60.0%", would mean that a player is currently ranked 4, but has 60.0% to go before reaching the next rank.

To qualify for rank advancement, players must have a minimum 15 Honorable Kills before the reset of each week.

The old system (now defunct), sorted every player with at least 15 Honorable Kills each week. Based on the position of the player and the number of other players that were in the list, the bracket was created. Every week, a certain percentage of the Rank Points of each player would degrade. The total Rank points minus decayed Points was used to determine a player’s ranking. The competition was fierce.

This is a completely new system, since the path 1.14.4. Based on a player’s progress and rank, they can reach up to four milestones in honor within each weekly reset. Honor is not useful before the first milestone. It's also useless between milestones. Only the milestones that you have met before the reset will be credited to your rank. If a rank 4 player has 60.0% honor (at maximum level) and at least 15 honorable kills, they can expect to see the following progress based on how much Honor is earned before the reset.

Honor between 0 and 2249: 4th rank and 60% (no advancement/change in rank)

Honorable Ranks 5 to 0.0% between 22500 and 44999

Honorable rank 5 to 80.0% between 45000-77499

Honor between 77500 and 109999: rank 6 to 50.0%

If you have 110000 or more honor: You will be ranked 7 with a rank progression of 20.0%. (No additional progress can be made for a given week after this point)

The Ranker only shows you possible rank advancements for the current situation or simulation. There is no other possible outcome.

Your results can vary if you're not at your maximum level. It is not known what the exact level cap is.

The following are some examples of

Use the /ranker or /ranker command to see your predicted ranking and progress after the reset.

This user interface can be shown or hidden using a key on the Honor Pane.

The Ranker pane will automatically appear when you display the Honor pane. Use the command /ranker configuration to go directly to the add-on configuration.

You can either set your own rank or honor cap, or you can use the defaults. (rank 14 for 500k honor) Season of Discovery currently has a cap of rank 3 for the game.

Understanding how many progression points you need to earn will help you determine how far along your journey can be.

If you are a rank higher than your previous one, but lack the honor required to keep it from decaying (and have made any advancement in that position), this will be displayed. This no longer exists and is no longer displayed after the reset on December 5, or 6, depending on where you live.

You can view a path that will take you to the rank of your choice, while taking into consideration your current honour and honor limit. You will not see any predictions until you've achieved 15 honorable killings, except in the case of "what-if" simulation. You can use the AddOn to verify that you are aware of this requirement. If you tick this AddOn, predictions will be provided regardless of the honorable kills that you currently have.

When you achieve your goal rank, the Ranker will display a thumbs-up, rank objective and a checkmark.

You can use "What if" scenarios to see how your journey would be if you had a certain rank or progressed. Enter a value between 0.00% to 99.99% or change it by using the left/right and up/down buttons. To return to the current state, click the button or open and close the pane.

Share your ranking information with other players in your group, your guild, or your local area.

A version check in the game will let you know when there is a new release.

Use the /rankerprune command to delete data points no longer needed. The command will remove all data points that were recorded prior to September 5, the date Blizzard altered their reward system for kills in order to stop rank manipulation.
