Description

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Quality of Life Plus (QoL+) adds numerous changes and new features designed to enrich every survivor's lives in Ark Survival Evolved. A fork and migration of Structure Plus (S+), originally by orionsun, this mod provides survivors with even more changes and features they need for survival. All credit goes out to everyone involved including him for all your hard work - you are truly legends!

As the game has progressed, so have the building fundamentals. Many structures from S+ no longer hold relevance in comparison to what was needed in ARK Survival Evolved; consequently they will not be moved over as part of QoL+.

Tools:
Multi-tool:

There are 5 modes in total on this tool - info, structure, dino, remote repair. Holding Reload will display the selection radial menu while some modes contain submodes that can be toggled through by pressing Alt Fire.

Info Mode : Display how the tool operates and the inputs.
Structure Mode : Two submodes available are pick-up and destruction. Dino Mode has nine sub-modes such as kill, spay, chibify mating whistles following wandering creeping turret with remote mode offering three submodes activate deactivate door.

Repair Mode: repair structures from a distance. Inte-gration Omni-Tool: 4 modes - info, basic transfer, advanced transfer and inventory assistant are supported for use during repair mode.

Info Mode:

Display how this tool operates and the inputs. Basic Transfer Mode: Choose an input source via alt-fire; using fire to transfer items directly between source and target.

Advanced transfer mode: opens a user interface where you can select sources, targets and items you would like transferred - it supports presets too!
Inventory Assistant offers various capabilities that help manage inventory effectively. Firing will open an intuitive UI where items may be selected for disposal/drop, drop frequency or destruction frequency as well as their respective frequency frequency rules being activated or presets being supported.

Structures: Longstanding Torches Do Not Require Fuel and Wall Torches Do Not Need Fuel (both are also shown here), whilst Small Storage units feature inbuilt slots to store items allowing easy configuration using ini settings.

Large Storage: Wrought-iron container designed to store items. Individual item slots may be configured via ini settings.

Metal Storage: When looking to safely secure items, metal containers provide ample room. Item slots can be customized through settings for added flexibility.

Blueprint Maker:

A table used to convert structures into blueprints.

Hitching Post:

for attaching creatures nearby to each other or from themselves; easily unhitch at any time from either their radial menus or from within the hitching post itself. Once hitched, creatures cannot move even when set for wandering mode.
Hitched creatures won't fall into stasis: resources (eggs, achatina paste and feces...) will continue to appear even when no one is around at base. Utilisation rates have also decreased by 25% when coupled with their respective Air Conditioner. Likewise their mating time and gestation period is cut in half when matched creatures have their first offspring at birth. WATCH THE VIDEOS BELOW for more info! Air Conditioner:
More powerful than its base counterpart

Feeding Trough with Increased Range: in comparison with its base counterpart

Ammo Box:

Used to store ammunition and distribute it to nearby turrets.

Domesticated Bee Hive: Domesticated bees do not attempt to sting you when accessing their inventory (even without wearing full protective gear), making the Domesticated Hive more suitable than its base counterpart for producing Giant Honey faster than usual.

Farmer:

Needs Calien Soup or an external power source in order to function. Collects fertilizers from nearby Compost Bins and Dung Beetles before disbursing it throughout nearby Crop Plots. Gardener: Needs Beer in order to work effectively. Collects what nearby Crop Plots produce as waste.

Nanny:

Requiring power, this device feeds baby creatures until they reach 15% maturity. Simply store food items in its inventory and it will distribute appropriate meals as required to nearby babies.

Propagator: Propagator requires Element to operate. Utilising cryopods as reproductive units, you will breed creatures (to the delight of your tribe's tame limit!). Spend additional elements on changing breeding creatures' gender or breeding otherwise nonbreedable ones into breedable ones or forcible mutations.
Mutations and their date of occurrence can easily be identified using the Propagator's tooltip of offspring in its database. When breeding occurs this way, mammals lay eggs (Note: QoL+ does not supply cryopods).

Mutator:

(pronounced Mutatareeterater) An Element generator used to alter nearby creatures with elements. After using one Mutator it will go back on cooldown for some minutes before returning back online; having multiple Mutators mitigate this limitation.

Mutation:

Apply a buff that causes nearby creatures to lay mutant eggs or give birth to offspring with mutant DNA traits, with mating process completion acting as the trigger and can stack two times by default.
Gender swap: switch the genders of nearby adult creatures who do not currently possess one to opposite ones; randomly give any nonexistent adults one; force breeding: temporarily enable nonbreeding species that should not reproduce to do so instead;
Change Impression: Allows players to alter the imprint left behind on nearby creatures by starting the pulse.

Stop Aging:

Prevent nearby baby creatures from growing. Accelerate Their Development: Help nearby baby creatures develop faster.

Features of Item Pulling:

From any remote inventory, select and pull items from other nearby containers. Pressing "craft N" allows resources to be pulled in order to craft multiple copies of an Engram/Blueprint selected item.
Choose an item in need of repair and press "repair", to access resources to restore it. Ini Configurations (This section will eventually be moved onto our wiki for easier viewing)

Configuration

must be added under the [QoLPlus] section of GameUserSettings.ini for best performance.

[QoL+] can enable structures which normally need a floor placement (ie smithy/forge etc) to be located directly on the ground (i.e.

Issues:

W hen you need to raise issues, click on the Issues tab and open up a new issue. Assuming it can be reproduced easily and thoroughly explained, this is usually the best way of making them visible and being addressed as soon as possible.

Changelogs:

28/01/2024 (CurseForge crossplay version 34).

QoL+ Dedicated Storage is capable of holding perishable goods like fridge-like conditions. It may be configured by size and interaction mode: touch to upload inventory directly into nearby Dedicated Storages by touching or attacking. Additionally, fixed pulling from/to these dedicated stores are supported as well.
Omni-Tool now transfering from/to Dedicated Storages is working as expected (CurseForge crossplay version 33)
QoL+ Propagator now adjusts mutation stacks rather than wild levels for greater variation, rather than altering wild level automatically.

 30/11/2023 (CurseForge crossplay version 15+),

QoL+ MultiTool no longer highlights non-targeted creatures; whilst QoL+ Grinder allows customization (sound, scale, crafting speed, resource return rate and slot count among others).
QoL+ Industrial Forge can be customized in terms of sound, scale, crafting speed and slot count; (POSTPIED). QoL+ Generator offers dynamic range that can be tailored for sound level customization (sound volume/max range); while its counterpart the QoL+ Converter converts vanilla structures to their QoL+ counterpart and vice versa.
QoL+ Replicator can be customized in terms of sound, scale, slot count and crafting speed; QoL+ Fridge also can be tailored specifically to its task - such as organic polymers being preserved by default without additional intervention from you (slot count is adjustable as is crafting speed).
QoL+ Preserving Bin: can be customized according to slot count and crafting speed, be renamed easily with no restrictions when pulling resources, prefixed with * to ignore when pulling resources.
QoL+ Fabricator can be customized in terms of sound, slot count and crafting speed; and is now under consideration - QoL+ Tek Generator boasts dynamic range with customizable sound levels (sound count/max range/sound counts).
