I haven’t posted for a while but this time the amazing abilities of ultralight planes’ inspired me to recreate them in KSP. Well it was a bit hard to understand the concept. Maybe i didn’t understand yet but anyhow i figured to have insanely efficient autogiros with great maneuver. They are quite amazing craft when you want to observe around with the best realistic effects on KSP.

Before take of procedure:

• Turn on the three fuel cells
• Press X to limit the thrust of both engines
• Warm up the engine 1 minute
• You may noticed the number behind the plane’s name says 240, it means that you need to set the top rotor’s RPM to 240 before you take off. (rear rotor doesn’t require settings)
• Press T
• Shift up to thrust slowly
• Run until the speed gets to 30m/s and V1 nose up by pressing S

In flight:

• The most efficient speed of this craft is 50m/s
• When you make sharp turns maximize the thrust to 100%
• In a normal level flight set appx 70% thrust

When it comes to landing you may need a bit practice. The only trick you have to be aware of is that you need to feel the balance between forward speed and falling speed. You don’t want to fall hard so you need some speed. Make sure you limit the rear rotor’s thrust to 20% when you land and try to gently touch down with rear tires.

This is Autogiro model 410, make sure before you take off set the top rotor’s RPM to 410 and turn on all fuel cells.

The greatest advantage is that it can land on any fat area.
