This map takes the experience of Skyblock (limited resources and long grinding for them) and turns it up to extreme

This is done by not focusing on having as little resources possible, but having the map be full of obstacles. Common things like NPCs, weapons and even mineable blocks require effort to obtain.

 

So if you start wondering if killing thousands of slimes really is the correct way to progress the map, you are right. It's intended. It should be expected that progress will take a very, very long time.

 

The map provides enough resources for the player to complete the map, however, if the player loses or misuses those resources, it could lead to the map becoming unbeatable, so make sure to use those carefully.

Playing with the Halloween and Christmas event is unadvised, as they ruin the intended progression of the map (triggering these by beating the Frost Moon and Pumpkin moon is fair game though).
