Note: I made a new mod with a menu instead of a button that probably works better: 

To use this mod, open the game menu and switch to the social tab. You should see a new sorting button in the top left corner next to the tabs. Pressing that button loops through four different sort methods:
 

• Sort by hearts (ascending)
  Sort by hearts (descending)
  Sort by display name (ascending)
  Sort by display name (descending)
