Secret Hedge Maze

Description

This mod modifies the Secret Forest location to add a new 3600 tile area containing a procedurally-generated hedge maze.

The maze is a secret, so you'll have to explore the secret forest to find it.

The maze is completely remade every day.

By default tiles in the maze are hidden until a farmer walks through them (can be turned off in the config).

The maze contains various highly customizable features, as outlined below.


Treasure

If you install Advanced Loot Framework, the maze will spawn up to three random-value treasure chests at random dead-end tiles each day.


Forage

The maze spawns the same sort of forage items as are found in the rest of the secret forest.


Monsters

The maze spawns a random number of the following monsters:

• slimes (random color and difficulty)
  bats (random color and difficulty)
  serpents
  shadow brutes
  shadow shamans
  skeletons
  squid kids
  dust sprites

The maze spawns a random number of health and stamina replenishing fairies that disappear when clicked on.

The maze spawns a dwarven merchant (you must speak dwarven to access the shop).


Config

You can edit spawn amounts, treasure variables, and more in the config.json file that is created when first running the game.

Requires SMAPI, uses Harmony.

Compatible with Mod Updater for automatic updates.
